Museum of the first Russian president Boris Yeltsin is unconventional, being an innovative display by its scope, artifacts and solutions. The scope of changes related to Boris Yeltsin, as well as the scale of his personality required non-trivial solutions.
Documents related to activities of dignitaries usually were stored in secure archives, ad museums in their name were somber ceremonial propaganda memorials. To show contemporary Russian history, some fundamentally new approaches were required, and therefore implemented into Yeltsin Center concept.

The route passes through a chain of halls, each related to a specific critical point in political life of the country and its leader, meaning economic reforms of 1992, The October Events of 1993, The Checnya war, elections in 1996.
